Bhagavan Nityananda

Born at the turn of the 20th century near Calicut, India, Nityananda has been recognized as an avadhut, a rare and gifted being of profound yogic power and capacity. Early in his life, he roamed throughout India teaching, healing and transforming people wherever he went. He eventually settled in the jungle in Ganeshpuri, near Bombay, where he spent the last 30 years of his life. He spoke little, but there was magic in his presence. By the time he took mahasamadhi in 1961, he had touched the lives of thousands of people all over India and beyond.
